When your traveling to Israel, you will most likely arrive to Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel! The city is the second most populated city in Israel. The city is always just called Tel Aviv, although the full and also official name is Tel Aviv-Yafo.

Tel Aviv-Yafo is a city with a savoy attitude and cultural astuteness, Tel Aviv is in the middle East “the city which never sleeps”, a centre for night-life, cuisine, culture, and liberalism. Exploring Tel Aviv is quite easy – the city is not that big like New York City or London, and sites are very accessible.

What to do in Tel Aviv

The Mediterranean Capital of Cool is around one hour by bus from Jerusalem and is worlds away culturally and socially. There are a couple of Amusement and water parks such as the huge amusement park Luna Park Tel Aviv,  and a smaller amsuement park SuperlandThe Meimadyon on the other hand is a large waterpark, very close to Luna Park Tel Aviv.

Explore the White City

The city of Tel Aviv is the largest collection of Bauhaus style buildings in the world, which predominates the architectural scene of Tel Aviv. Therefore Tel Aviv was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage site for the very unique architectural style of Bauhaus building. This style is named after the German school of Bauhaus where it was influenced by. As this Bauhaus-style and all the white buildings are refereed to simplicity, the city of Tel Aviv-Yafo is also called The White City.

Visit ancient Jaffa

It is believed by some that the Port of Jaffa is one of the Oldest Ports in the world. It was from the city, or port of Jaffa that Jonah set off in the story of Jonah and the whale. Visit the old port, and bustling flea market.

Walk in Neve Tzedek

Neve Zedeck was the first Jewish neighborhood in Tel Aviv-Yafo, constructed outside the walls of Jaffa in the late 19th century. It has a unique trendy character, and is nowadays a popular spot to visit. Here are plenty of restaurants and bars for a reasonable price.

The beach in Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv is considered to be one of the best beach cities in the world. The beach influences the city’s culture and outlook and there are many miles of sand. But can a city beach really be outstanding, and one of the best beaches in the world? Give it a try, you will be surprised! Especially during the sunset the beach will fascinate you. You can listen and dance to Brazilian drum sounds, and get some delicious barbecue food. But take care about Jellyfish. During summer time you may see one or two, and you don’t want to get in contact with them!
