Barcelona is an outstanding city which has so much to offer, that you can’t see all in just in 2 days. We recommend spending at least 3 days if possible to get a feel for this design and art metropolis.
If you are in the center of Barcelona, you will find the huge main square which is called “Placa Catalunya” – the Catalan Plaza. Around this plaza you will find many shops, bars, restaurants, and the famous Passeig de Gracia which is known for being Barcelona’s most chic and upscale shopping strip, as well as the city’s most famous strip – Las Ramblas. Find the well-known meeting place “Cafe Zürich” right at the corner of the entrance to Las Ramblas and sit down to have a drink or enjoy some tapas.
Placa Catalunya – Barcelona’s main square
Around this area you will find a lot of great hostels and budget accommodation. The neighborhoods around this main square are the “Eixample”, “Raval” and “Gotico”. From here you will have an easy and quick access to the most happening areas in Barcelona. But beware of thieves and pickpockets. Take care of your wallet, Smartphone and all your belongings.
