By looking on the map of Barcelona, you will see that the city is fielded in many different districts (barrios). The most important ones are the Barri Gotic, or known as the old city, La Ribera, El Raval, the controversial area, Barceloneta where the beach area is and Eixample where the Sagrada, Casa Mila, Casa Battlo and Barcelona’s most famous shopping streets are placed.
