Where to shop in Madrid

If shopping is one of your favourite activities when travelling, book your accommodation and Hostel with Gomio and your Madrid cheap flights now: you will certainly enjoy the city’s wide range of shopping options.

Gran Vía – your shopping paradise

The city’s major shopping hub is the imposing street of Gran Vía, host to all the major clothes shops and many Madrid attractions. Right on the north of the street lies the fashionable areas of Malasaña and Chueca, where you’ll find trendy boutiques and independent designer shops.

Another shopping area is Serrano, also known as the “Golden Mile” for it hosts all the leading national and international luxury brand shops. It is slightly off the tourist route, so don’t forget a map of Madrid on your visit.

Last but not least El Rastro is another great shopping area in Madrid’s main flea market. It covers a huge area between La Latina and Puerta de Toledo, in which you’ll find almost everything: books, antiques, shoes, clothes, fruits, flowers, collector’s items and an endless amount of new and used objects. Unfortunately though, it’s only set up on Sunday mornings!
