El Tuco is a fantastic budget option for anyone travelling to Cusco. The owners are exceptionally nice and helpful, the rooms are basic but comfortable and clean and breakfast is very good. There is also free wifi throughout which comes in very handy. I would definitely recommend.

El Tuco is the best. We've been to close to 30 hostels in our 4 months of traveling and El Tuco is hands the best value for your money. Also the moment you step in the hostel, you think.. home. Great charm and character, and an amazing staff. Highly recommended!

The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. Our rate also included breakfast (eggs and OJ). They kept our bags for us while we visited Machu Picchu and were full of very useful information. They were courteous and friendly and we felt like we were staying with friends. I would certainly recommend El Tuco to anyone planning on going to Cuzco.

El Tuco was a fantastic hostel. Owner/manager Coco was a brilliant host and couldn´t have done more to help us. He had great advice on where to go in town, what to do and see, and where to eat. He made the place have a really welcoming feel. The hostel was immaculately clean (room cleaned every day), our room comfortable and spacious and everything felt very secure. A great price for Cuzco and only a 10 minute walk from the centre.

Coco is a great host and the staff really goes out of their way to make sure that all your questions are answered and needs met. The location is only 5 minutes walking distance to the main Plaza. This is not a party hostel, which is very nice for those who need to get up early for various tours like Macchu Picchu. Breakfast is simple but adequate. Showers are hot (which is not the case at other cheaper hotels and hostels in the city...beware!). Honestly, the prices are really great here for what you get. We would stay here again and again if we came back to Cusco.

Coco was a fabulous host and his pisco sour really was one of the best. A little further from the center than some other places, but no steep hills to climb so worked for me.
