The hostel is generally pleasant but not that well kept for a 'new' hostel. The staff are helpful and very laid-back which may explain the liberal security. There's nowhere to lock your valuables although we experienced or heard of any problems. It is located in the pricier part of town, yet it's easy enough to access the rest of bogota through the transmileneo (bus/trams) opposed to the taxis. Who often try to use the unit metre system as a way of conning you into paying more ( the units correspond to lesser values in pesos!). Overall the hostel is pleasant but basic.

Directions
North House Hostel
From the Airport:
Walk to the far-right end of the airport as you exit. You can either take an airport sponsored (and therefore more secure) taxi by waiting in the queue or a ?regular? taxi by crossing the two small streets in front of the airport where you will see a line of taxi?s eagerly awaiting your business. In our opinion, either option is fine but you can usually save a few dollars by taking the taxi?s across the street. In either case tell the taxi or person printing your ticket that you?d like to go to Carrera 18 #80-66.
Total travel time- Under 30 minutes.
Cost- $15.000-$20.000 COP
From the South Terminal Bus Station:
From your bus head into the terminal station and stand in the taxi line. Tell them Carrera 18 #80-66. Then wait for your taxi and show him/her your ticket.
Total travel time- Less than 30 minutes.
Cost $14.000-$18.000 COP
From Los Heroes Transmilenio Stop:
Exit the station and head East (toward the mountains) on Calle 80 which turns into a pedestrian walkway after one block, after another block you will see Dunkin Donuts. Turn left and head North on Cra 18, we are located toward the end of the block on the left.
Total travel time-1 minute on foot.
Address: Carrera 18 # 80-66,
Bogota,
