Taupo
YHA Taupo is centrally located with just a 5 minute walk to the Taupo town centre and the lakefront. Lake Taupo is New Zealand's largest lake, situated in the adventurous Central North Island region, half way between Auckland and Wellington. Rafting, skydiving and the world famous Tongariro Crossing are just some reasons to come and stay at the YHA Taupo backpacker hostel. The YHA Taupo hostel consists of double, twin and multi-share backpacker accommodation in the main building and a fully self-contained lodge which is perfect for group accommodation. Some of the private rooms have ensuite bathrooms. The grounds around YHA Taupo have tent site accommodation, a BBQ picnic area, an actual clothesline as well as hammocks in the garden.
