Directions
1201 East Backpackers
It is the easy for you to come by car from the highway, by train with the
Indian Pacific across the country side or from the Domestic Airport and
International Airport.
From the airport
- The bus lines 37, 299 and 296 go between the city and the airport with lines 296/299 only servicing the
International Airport. Passengers from overseas have to walk ca. 4km to the bus stop Kalamunda Rd After
King Road. Get out at Adelaide Tce Westend Causeway. Adelaide Tce runs parallel to Hay St, so just walk
in the direction of the city, turn right on Plain St and turn left again on Hay St. After ca. 100 metres
you'll find us between the Alderney Apartment Hotel and the Saville Hotel.
- All these bus lines service the Domestic Airport, too. For 296/299 get in at stop Great Eastern Hwy
After Fauntleroy Av, for 37 take the bus at Brearley Av Before Miller Rd. To get to the hostel follow
the instructions above.
- Much easier might be the Perth City Shuttle Airport, but more expensive, too. Usually they wait in front
of the airport exits, collect the passengers and drop them off directly in front of their hotels/hostels.
See also their web site.
- Why don't you check out our in-house Pick-up Service?
From the East Perth Terminal
- If you arrive by train, e. g. the Indian Pacific, you will end up at the East Perth Terminal. Your first
option is to hop on the city train (Midland Line) to travel 3 stations to Perth Central Station. In front
of the station you catch the Red CAT bus and go to the stop Queens Gardens. Since all these stations and
stops are within Perth's Free Transit Zone, this little journey will be free of charge. Walking 50 metres
back, you'll find the hostel on the opposite side of the street.
- Our Pick-up Service will fetch you conveniently from the East Perth Terminal as well.
From anywhere
- Arriving by car, you'll enter the city via one of the freeways or highways. They all
come together at the city centre. You should definitely have a look at the
map. If
you get stuck, you can call us and we try to give you some guiding help.
