The staff were very unhelpful and even though reception appeared open the staff would not come when the bell was rung. We asked for a second fan knowing the hostel was no full and she refused to provide us with another one. The kitchen closed at 8pm when we wanted to cook dinner after this time. Generally not a very good experience and would not recommend to any fellow backpackers. Kitchen facilities were adequate, but close relatively early at 8pm. The website mentions a pethouse dorm, but this was not the case, or I was put in another dorm. There appeared to be no penthouse or roof terrace, even though the website shows a picture of one. The dorm looked out onto a busy stret at the back of the building, not the sea view the website leads you to believe. Public transport was very convenient, with buses 1 and 3 passing very close by. Plenty of restuarants and a big Mercadona supermarket on Av. Joan Miro at the back. Lady staff member was very freindly, efficient and helpful. There could have been more of a lounge and TV area. Directions

The Terramar
From the airport

Take bus number 1 from the airport and get off on the Paseo Maritmo outside the Melia Victoria Hotel. Walk in the direction of the bus for 100 m until you pass under a pedestrian bridge. Just after the bridge youwill find a set of metal stairs. The Hostel is at the top of the steps.

If you want to avoid the stairs you can change buses in Plaza España and take the number 3 to Plaza Gomila. Cross the road and walk down the street behind the bank. the hostel is 50m on the right.

From the port

Walk along the Paseo Maritimo towards the city for about 15 minutes until you come to the white neo classical Mediterraneo building. Take the steps beide this building to arrive opposite the hostel

Alternatively a taxi will be 5-6 euros and take five minutes
