Satisfactory hostel but the social room discourages meeting new people. In addition, there is absolutely no where safe to leave your belongings. The staff is helpful enough, but there are few services for them to have assist you with. The hostel itself is clean enough and in a great location.

Los Amigos "SOL" is right in the heart of Madrid, in one of the main and most lively streets of the old center. Just 50 meters off the metro station "Opera", 100 meters from Puerta del Sol, Royal Palace & Plaza Mayor and walking distance from all the mayor tourist attractions, shopping areas and, of course, the best night life in Europe!!.

- Sol (red nº2, blue nº1 & yellow nº3 lines) - 1 min walk down Arenal street (100 meters)
- Opera (red nº2 & green nº5 lines) - 1min. walk up Arenal street (50 meters)
How to get here from:
...the airport:
- By Metro: Take pink line (Nº8) till the end of the line at "Nuevos Ministerios". Change onto the dark blue line (nº10) at "Nuevos Ministerios". Head down on nº 10 line to "Príncipe Pío" and then change to the "R" ("Ramal") line one stop up to "Opera"?.
-By Taxi: cost around 25 Euro
...Atocha train station:
- By Metro: light blue line (Nº1) up to "Sol" and then walk from "Sol": 1 min. down Arenal street (You can also change to the red line (Nº 2) to "Opera" and then walk up Arenal for 20 meters)
- By taxi: cost 6-8 euro
...Chamartín train station:
- By Metro: line Nº 10 to "Alonso Martínez" and change onto green (Nº 5) up to "Opera".
- By taxi: cost around 10 euro
... bus station: take Metro.
