This is our third stay here and we LOVE the Hostal Loreto. In the last couple of years the surrounding area has come alive with cafe's and restaurants. It's a great place to stay in Denia with wonderful staff and attentive management.

The only difficulty we had was finding the place and getting to the parking. Also, the breakfast might have included a second cup of coffee and some fruit. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Third time I have stayed at this Hotel. The owners are very hands on and offer a friendly personal service second to none, nothing is too much trouble. All rooms have air conditioning / heating and are spotlessly clean. This is not a modern hotel but has so much character, being tastefully decorated with typical Spanish charm and every convenience you need. The central courtyard adds to the ambiance, the roof terrace gives great views over the town and is perfect for catching the suns rays. Overall a very enjoyable experience giving excellent value for money. See you all again soon.

This hotel was excellent and in a lovely place. Staff were helpful and friendly. The only slight negative would be the lack of towels.

Great location in the middle of the old city.
Situated in an old monastery.
Rooms are clean and nice although we paid 75 eu for a twinroom a night, for a hostel not really cheap.

Our party comprised three friends travelling across Spain with our final destination in Denia. All we needed was peace, quiet and minimal walking. Our stay in Hostal Loreta was very much this, situated near some superb restaurants and only 10mins to the beach. Very clean and with all the amenities (hair dryer in our room and ironing board if one so required it). Room was a little tight for three and similar to some youth hostels we'd stayed at. The only criticism is the rather grumpy night porter who didn't open the door to us until we started to really make some noise (it was 5.30am though!).

Perfect location in the centre of the old town and right on a wonderful street full of restaurants and bars where you can watch the locals parading up and down during the evening. Very friendly and helpful owners.

The hotel is situated in a narrow street with lots of restaurants; a very charming place to stay if you like to feel the local atmosfhere. The hotel has a roof-terrace from which you can se most of the town; a fantastic view in the sunset.

First night the hot water was cool in the morning, after we mentioned it to the staff, it was not a problem again. Simple but satisfying breakfasts. Location was SPOT ON: right off Plaza de Armas. The plaza noise was not an issue for us. Our room had an Inka wall; it shared a piece of history! Very favorable impression.

Hostal Loreto
By car:
As you enter Denia from the A7 you drive straight-on over a series of roundabouts. There is a Macdonald's on the left just before the second last roundabout and a petrol station on the left just before the last one. Take the second exit from the final roundabout into the Av. de Valencia and drive straight on until you reach the no-entry signs (at the end of the Calle Loreto!). Turn right into the Plaza Valgamedios and turn immediately (sharp) left into the Ronda de las Murallas. At the roundabout turn right following the Ronda de las Murallas around the perimeter of the castle where it first becomes Sanchis Guarner, then Fora Mur and finally Calle de la Mar (on the other side of the castle). At the end of the Calle de la Mar drive straight-on towards the Plaza Constitucion ignoring the dead-end signs (do not follow the main flow of traffic turning left into Calle Diana). Turn right onto the square and exit left into Calle Loreto where you will see the Hotel in front of you. If the hydraulic bollards are up, stop in front of them and come to the Hotel and we will open the street for you. If the bollards are down drive to the Hotel and we will give you directions to the parking after you have deposited your luggage and checked in.
If you arrive in Denia by ferry then drive to the roundabout at the junction of Calle de la Marina y Valencia and Calle Benidorm. This is easily recognised because of the large steel sculpture on it. Turn into Calle Benidorm and turn left at the first set of traffic lights into Calle Dr Fleming. At the T junction turn left onto the Ronda de las Murallas and proceed as described above under Option 1.
By bus:
Walk towards the supermarket at the bus station and turn right into the Calle de la Via. Take the first turning on the left into Calle San Jose and walk to the T junction with Calle Loreto. From here you can see the hotel on your right.
By train:
Cross the Plaza Oculista Buigues in front of the station and walk towards the main shopping street the Marques de Campo. Turn left into the Marques de Campo and walk to the square Glorieta del Pais Valencia. Turn right into Calle del Cop and proceed to the Plaza de la Constitucion. Calle Loreto is the second street on the left off the Plaza.
By ferry:
If you are on foot, depending on which pier the ferry has docked at, proceed either via Marques de Campo (see train instructions) or via Calle de la Mar (see car instructions). If you are driving follow the car instructions above.
