The hostel has potential considering that it is an old, beautiful building, but it needs to be renovated. It will also help if the cleaning person could get trained on how to do a better job. Read more ► Blue Hostel fulfilled our needs for a cheap and central location in Barcelona. It is simple and very clean and it was pretty calm because the other guests were calm too. But noisy guests may really spoil your stay. We had a twin room on the 4th floor. A tiny room with beds that could be much better (especially because of bad metal frames). It has a bit of a typical backpacker's and a bit of a shared apartment. The rooms are nice, with minor disadvantages: One had no windows and one, with a typical barcelona-balcony, was noisy. Washing rooms are nice and free internet is available. Staff was very helpful and flexible (THANKS FOR THAT!). Location is great for night life, harbour and beach but also a good starting point to explore the city, with the subway stations close by. If you have to change plans, you have to call them on the mobile, which is a bit expensive from a foreign mobile phone. But then the staff was very nice and helpful. I recommend Blue Hostel to anyone who wants a decent accomodation but not a party hostel. Also, the location was perfect! DIRECTIONS

Arriving from BARCELONA airport:

You have two choices to arrive at blue point, by train or by bus. The easy one is in by bus but a little but expensive that the train.

If your prefer the BUS ( Every 15 minutes leaves from the airport): have to take the AEROBUS (Is the blue bus) and get off on the Plaza Catalunya. You have to take the Metro, Line 3 (green), zona universitaria direction and get off in the 'Drassanes' Station. Just in fron of the exit of the station , there is the Carrer de Josep Anselm Clave Street. You have to follow this street, because it changes name to Carrer Ample. We stay in that street, follow it until number 24, first floor, fourth door.
