Loch Ness Backpackers Lodge

is a warm and friendly little Hostel with a relaxed atmosphere, good music and no curfew.
We are situated in the village of Lewiston just a few minutes walk from Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle, a perfect location for activity or relaxation.

The Hostel has grown from what was once an 18th century farm cottage and barns. The house has been extended to form the main area of the Hostel with Reception, Lounges, Dining Room, Kitchen and Toilets/Showers on the ground floor, and two Dormitories and one Double Room in the upstairs area. The converted barn area consists of four Dormitories, Toilets/Showers and Kitchen/Dining area all on ground level.

The two separate areas make it an ideal set up for larger groups of up to 40, or for smaller groups and individuals who could be accommodated separately in either the 16 beds in the main house or the 24 in the bunkhouse area.

The Hostel has excellent facilities and everything you need is within walking distance - including three pubs where you can have a drink and a friendly chat with the locals.

Loch Ness Backpackers
We are in the village of Lewiston which is on the A82 Inverness to Fort William road, 500m west of Drumnadrochit. Drive through Drumnadrochit towards the castle, you will soon reach the crossroads that marks the centre of Lewiston. Turn left here and we are on the left 100m or so down the road.

If you are travelling by bus then both Citylink and Rapsons run from Inverness Bus Station down the Loch. Don't get off in Drum, instead hang on until you reach Lewiston. The drivers are friendly and will let you off here, but remember to ask.
