Finally, a top notch masterpiece of a hostel, right in the middle of the centre of the heart of Zakopane! But what's the deal with this strange town I've never heard of (you may or may not be asking)??? Well, without doubt the winter sports capital of Poland, this small but outlandishly vibrant, stylish, and charming minilopolis in the spectacular Tatra Mountains is becoming Poland's worst kept secret! And what better way to discover it than sleeping in style just minutes walk from the closest slopes (with super-cheap skiing in winter and, well, free hiking in summer)!

For those of you yet to become acquainted with the Flamingo name, allow me introduce the original version:

Flamingo Hostel in Krakow, famous from such years as:

And now at long last Flamingo's little sister has sprung onto the scene, and our main concern here is that it could actually outshine its older sibling in Krakow...Of course we're offering everything you'd expect from such an outstandingly brilliant hostel - a delicious breakfast so free you can't afford not to eat it; a lavishly equipped kitchen for those too lazy to crawl a couple of yards to the nearest restaurant/café/pub; a truly brilliant common room to nurse the skiers sprained ankles and the drinkers strained brains; stunningly clean bathrooms (in every room!) with the hottest hots and coldest colds this side of the Himalayas; and of course beds! Beds, beds, oh what beautiful beds! Naturally we also offer expected bonuses such as free linen, lockers for all and a safe at reception, no curfew, no lockout , free tea and coffee, and a laundry service. But really, these are all things you've come to expect right? So what makes us SO good??? Well it's all about the staff. They really do know everything - they'll tell you where to eat, where to drink, where to ski, where to hike, where to dance, where to romance, and if you don't mind they'll probably join you for most of it!

Oh, and back to the location for a second. We flamingos live on Krupowki Street (Crew-poofky) which is THE main street in Zakopane. More of an outdoor mall than a street, it is dotted with cafes, restaurants, bars, clubs, outdoor markets, and now Zakopane's (soon to be the world's!) best hostel!

If you think 1 night will be enough in the Zakopane Flamingo, then book 1 night - but try to have a few days up your sleeve, you may find it very hard to leave!
