The Galway hostel Doorus House sits on a peninsula between the bays of Galway and Kinvara at the base of the Burren Mountains and just 29 kilometres south of Galway city. This stunning setting offers a great base for exploring the breathtaking Connemara to the north, the world famous Burren close by, the staggering Cliffs of Moher to the southwest and the unforgettable Aran Islands off the West Coast.
This really is the ideal location to experience some of the highlights of a holiday to Ireland.
The Burren was listed as the number one Irish adventure by The Sunday Times (UK) in its 19 January 2003 issue. Hillwalking, rare flora and fauna, limestone landscape, ancient tombs and ringforts all make the Burren one of the most unique places in all the country.
