Erato Backpackers Hostel provides clean, comfortable, and fun budget accommodation for backpackers and young travellers visiting the cultural treasures of the beautiful Greek Island of Aegina in the heart of the Saronic Gulf. Conveniently located in the popular resort of Aghia Marina on the east coast of the Island, Aegina Island Backpackers Hostel offers you the  opportunity to relax, unwind, or party and socialise with fellow travellers and backpackers. This 20-room hostel is fully equipped with 21st Century conveniences including air-conditioning, Internet Access, pool, refridgerators, a cafe/cocktail bar/lounge, Showers and a TV / recreational room, the focal point for activities and events.

NEW for summer 2007 - Erato backpackers has its own speedboat for the adventurous at heart.  Come give waterskiing or tubing a try, or rent our jetski for some afternoon fun in the sea.

The Island is a treasure trove of ancient monasteries, spectacular archaeological sites such as the Temple of Apollo and Aphia the Sphinx of Aegina and a host of unspoiled, picturesque towns and villages nestling around its breathtaking littoral. Enjoy island tours to all the sites with our tour guide or rent a motorbike and explore on your own.

Boasting a premium location, The Erato Backpackers Hostel is in the centre of agia marina town and 300 meters from the beach and a short stroll from the highlights of the picture postcard town of Aghia Marina, home to an excellent variety of funky bars and clubs, traditional Greek tavernas and a host of public services including buses and taxis, banks and post office. Off site, travellers have the option to engage in a host of outdoor activities and excursions including a day and evening visits to Athens, tours around Aegina Island, as well as a plethora of water sports such as Sailing charters, scuba diving, parascending, paragliding and much more.
