Information Stoke Travel - Springfest
Springfest. It's like Oktoberfest! But, like in spring. It's springier. The Fruhlingsfest in Germany is often referred to as 'little Oktoberfest', and with only tens of thousands of people attending... Only tens of thousands... But the deal is similar; beer halls, big steins of beer and delicious Bavarian cuisine. This time we'll be doing it to celebrate the spring, so the beers are a little lighter (not in alcohol content) and there are more flowers around, you know, spring stuff. There's also a carousel that doubles as a bar, so as you drink you spin, round and round... And it's quieter, with far less tourists, so it's in many respects a more authentic experience. Some days the Springfest is joined by a giant flea market, other days with fireworks displays, every day with happy revellers, dancing music, plenty of great food and, of course, the best beer in the world.
