I had no security problems, once there are individual cabinets inside the rooms, and there's a luggage room in the first floor that is always kept locked. Moreover, all the facilities seemed just like new ones. Everything clear, new and well organized. The staff was always friendly and helpful. You can not only have your questions about your stay or about the city answered, but also a good conversation with them. The atmosphere is totally enjoyable. Furthermore, the location of the hostel is quite appropriate: 2 minutes on foot from a U-Bahn (subway) station. Thus it's very easy to go out and to get back without worrying about transportation problems. I would surely recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Berlin and have a good time. Unfortunately, we got there really late, but the staff was more then helpful even at such terrible time. The location was perfect and the price is good for the rooms. The staff were extremely helpful and spoke amazing english. Clément 2012/01/02	Very good atmosphere and welcoming staff (free coffee / ice-tea !). The all-night-long bar is cool and the U-Bahn (subway) isn't far away. There are 3€/day extra for bed sheets, 2€/stay if you need to rent towels. How to find us from:
Hauptbahnhof :
Take the Bus M41 (direction Sonnenallee) to the station "Willy-Brandt-Haus". Take approx. 15 mins.
Walk 20 meters back in the direction the bus came from. Turn left into Großbeerenstraße and walk down to the river. Cross the bridge and on your right hand side you will find your home in Berlin - the Grand Hostel Berlin.
Airport Schoenefeld
Take the bus X7 (Terminal Schoenefeld) to the train station (U- Bahnhof) Rudow. Take the underground train (U-Bahn) U7 in the direction of Rathaus Spandau and exit at the train station "Möckernbrücke". Takes approx. 45 mins.
Airport Tegel
Take the bus X9 or 109 to Jakob-Kaiser-P=latz. Change to U-train U7 and get off at the station "Möckernbrücke". Takes approx. 35 mins. Car Parking on street around the hostel is free of charge.

At Möckernbrücke take the exit where the flower shop is. Upstairs rurn right and walk app. 100 meter. 
On the right side you will find your home in Berlin - the Grand Hostel Berlin.
