You'll find enough information and suggestions to keep you busy for a week, and enough space to curl up with your book or enjoy a game of chess and a good cup of tea. The hostel has six to eight beds per dorm, a clean kitchen, laundry service, no curfew or lockout, a book swap and a cosy common room.

   Easy daytrips include the spectacular castles, Bouzov and Helfstyn, the caves of the Moravian Karst, the UNESCO-listed Archbishops' chateau at Kromeriz, and the outdoor museum of traditional wooden architecture at Roznov pod Radhostem. Stopping in Olomouc is also an excellent way to break the long journeys between Prague and Krakow, Budapest or the Tatras.
