The shower provided endless hot water as long as you did not put it on full power(instant hot water) and even though the bed quilts were thinnish singles the heating kept us more than sufficiently warm. We did need a clip to hold the bedroom curtains shut as they would not close, but this was a minor problem. The young man who met us was extremely polite and provided us with a map and lots of useful information regarding places to visit and ways to get about. The trip into Prague centre was about a 15 minute walk or 5 by tram. Not in the dead centre of Prague, but easily reached by tram with a nearby supermarket, and next door to Vy?ehrad, Prague?s other ancient fortress. If you are used to staying in hostel-style accommodation, then you will find Emma Apartments well appointed, with linen and towels included, your own toilet and powerful shower (with hair dryer), and small kitchen (with mini fridge, kettle, pots and pans, stove, sink, cutlery and crockery). If you are used to staying in plush hotels then you will find the apartment a bit underwhelming, but then again you are paying less than what it costs to stay in a dorm in a hostel in the centre of town! We stayed in the middle of winter (-12C overnight) and were warm enough. Host very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Emma Apartments for independent travellers on a budget who self-cater. easist way is take taxi an say our adress, but prepare 700CZK (cca30EUR)
You can order also our transport, min 24 hours in advance, price is 500CZK (20EUR)
The only one recommended taxi company is AAA Radiotaxi - +420/14014 - speaking english.
cheapest way is - Take bus 100 to the Zlicin Metro B ststion and then take Metro to Karlovo namesti stop. On Karlovo namesti leave the subway direction Moran, because there are two exits. Take tram number 18 or 24 - from the stop at the end of the square - and go to the Ostrcilovo namesti stop, it is the 3rd stop. Leave the tram stop, cross the street, go across the sqaure to the street in the middle - Oldrichova street. The 5th house on the left side - Yes it is your accomodation in Prague:-)


FROM MAIN TRAIN STATION
The maximum price for taxi to the apartments is 300CZK (13.-EUR)
Buy ticket for 26CZK and take subway red line C, go to the  it is first stop, leave to the Vaclavske namesti direction, go to the middle of Vaclavske namesti and take tram nr: 24 and go to the Ostrcilovo namesti stop, it is the 7th stop. Leave the tram stop, cross the street, go across the sqaure to the street in the middle - Oldrichova street. The 5th house on the left side - Yes it is your accomodation in Prague:-)

FROM HOLESOVICE TRAIN STATION
The maximum price for taxi to the apartments is 400CZK (17EUR)
Buy ticket for 26CZK and take subway red line C, go to the Muzeum it is 4th stop, leave to the Vaclavske namesti direction, go to the middle of Vaclavske namesti and take tram nr: 24 and go to the Ostrcilovo namesti stop, it is the 7th stop. Leave the tram stop, cross the street, go across the sqaure to the street in the middle - Oldrichova street. The 5th house on the left side - Yes it is your accomodation in Prague:-)
