Read more ► This was one of the best hostel experiences i have ever had. Little charming house, full of color, and character and very welcoming stuff. Positioned in center near the main square and with few bus lines always driving to the square. But thing which made difference, is non formal approach which gives you real homey feeling. There was always somebody cooking, sharing food and drinks, sharing life experience in one normal and positive environment. All is left is nice memories. In fact, I first took for mosquito bites what robbed my sleep and soon turned out to be bites from bedbugs, most probably. So when I come home the first thing to do will be to desinfect my stuff. The hostel was really dirty, with too many people packed in it, so bedbugs would not come as a surprise. So just stay away from this hostel, if you don t want to scratch yourself for a week after... Read more ► this is not a complaint about the hostel necessarily but rather about its online booking service. i booked for me and 2 of my friends to stay in the hostel for 2 nights and on arrival was told that the booking had not been recorded and that there was no room for us in the hostel. the young man in the office made a number of phone calls and found us accom elsewhere. he also rang his boss who said they would pay for us to take another taxi to the new accomodation. 5 minutes later he rang back and had decided that he was not prepared to offer this is as consolation for the failed booking. we had to pay for another taxi to get us to the new hostel. the experience left us considerably annoyed and with a bad taste in our mouths. If you arrive by plane,
Zagreb Pleso Airport is about 20km from the heart of Zagreb. You can take a taxi (about £20/$38/€29) or we can pick you up at airport for 10 euros. If you like you can take the inexpensive Croatia Airlines bus which takes you to the main bus station in central Zagreb. Buses leave every half an hour outside the airport terminal, and tickets, costing 30 Kunas (£3/$5.50/€4.50), can be bought from the bus driver. Once you arrive at the bus station, you can flag down a taxi to take you to your accommodation or use a tram to complete your journey.Almost all visitors are puzzled as to how to obtain tickets for trams as they are not sold on-board: walk to the first newspaper kiosk and ask for a 'tramvajska karta' (tram ticket) which are sold singly or in packs of ten. Once you board the tram, you must remember to validate your card in the machines.

From main train station:
Take a tram number 6 (direction Crnomerec) or number 13 (direction Zitnjak). Get out on the 2nd station, and will find yourself on main Zagreb square (Ban Jelacic square). Take a tram number 14 (direction Mihaljevac - opposite direction then you came from!) and get out on the 2nd station. (?Grskoviceva street" station). Get back about 30 meters and on the left side is Grskoviceva street. You need to go 5-10 minutes in the Grskoviceva, when the road splits follow the curve to the right and on the left side is little street ?Ulica Milana Sufflaya", immediately before the pharmacy. If you come to roundabout you have gone too far and Milana Sufflaya is behind you where our hostel is located on number 3.

From main bus station:
Take a tram number 8 (direction Mihaljevac). Get out on the 6. station ("Grskoviceva street" station). Get back about 30 meters and on the left side is Grskoviceva street. You need to go 5-10 minutes in the Grskoviceva, when the road splits follow the curve to the right and on the left side is little street ?Ulica Milana Sufflaya", immediately before the pharmacy. If you come to roundabout you have gone too far and Milana Sufflaya is behind you where our hostel is located on number 3.
