The guestrooms inside Pension Columbia can be found on the second floor of a building from the beginning of the 20th century, which holds many resemblances with the rest of the constructions in the neighbourhood. The Jofestadt area, within the historical centre of Austria`s capital city, is named after Joseph II: most of its buildings and parks date as far back as the 18th century, and among its many attractions you may take a peaceful stroll to Josefstadt theatre, the oldest in Vienna, or Museum für Volkskunde, located in the Schönbrunn palace.  In addition to this, many tram lines and two underground networks reach the neighbourhood, so that you may have easy access to other major sights in Vienna. The building where Pension Columbia works has always been a lodging, and renovations were constantly made to improve the facilities. In 2006, it was the turn for the floors and bathrooms of the property. Heating, cable-TV and mini bar are some of the services inside the chambers, while there is free access to the web all day long at an internet desk placed on the entrance.
