I have one comment: I had to pay some additional fees to the hotel than the price of the internet, that I wanted to know when I booked online. Otherwise everything was ok. Wifi connection being shared by guests with their own laptops. Faster speeds needed to keep up with demand. Overall still the best placed accommodation in Badgastein. I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We pride ourselfes to always put the customer first, we want every customer to leave fully satisfied and happy. To call me a bad person is not fair, you do not know me - you should not judge me. To say we are only after the money is not true, 100s of satisfied customers and great ratings will approve. I also want to present my point of view. You have stayed over the holidays incl. New Years Eve, which is one of the busiest days of the season. I admit, it was noisy, people had drinks and did smoke in one of the shared rooms. This happened one time and it is not the rule, our staff did come, confiscate the beverages and took care of the people who were smoking in the dorm. This occured once and was taken care of by staff immidiately. I believe the reason why you are upset is that i have charged you for replacing our locker. You have rented a locker and misplaced/lost the key - and you did not want to pay for it. We do have big signs on the lockers and in all hallways, reminding you to please be careful with the keys, as we have no spares and that you will be charged in case you lose it as we have to replace the lock. During the Summerseason our Reception is open between 7am and 11pm, if you plan to arrive later you have to let us know in advance!

If you arrive by TRAIN to Bad Gastein, just leave the station and turn right! You will find the Euro Youth Hotel after 80 m on the left hand side.

If you arrive by CAR, look out for the signs to the ski-lift "Stubnerkogelbahn" or the hot spa "Felsentherme" once you get to Bad Gastein. You will drive under a footpath that connects the ski-lift with the "Felsentherme" and after 50 meters you will see the Euro Youth Hotel coming up on the left hand side.

The following airports are all destinations for low-cost airlines!!

Salzburg: In only 1 ½ hours by train you can get from Salzburg directly to Bad Gastein. Direct trains leave every 2 hours from the main train station in Salzburg!

Munich: There are direct trains from Munich to Bad Gastein which take about 2 ½ hours!

Vienna: From Vienna you will have to go to Salzburg first and from there catch a connecting train to Bad Gastein. There are also 2 direct trains every day and the trip takes about 4 hours.

Innsbruck: There are direct trains from Innsbruck that take about 3 hours!

Klagenfurt: There are also direct trains from Klagenfurt running every 2 hours. It takes about 2 hours 40 minutes to get to Bad Gastein!

The Euro Youth Hotel is more than happy to arrange an airport pick-up service with one of the local taxi companies! You can just send an email or call with your travel details.

Bad Gastein is very accessible coming from the north (Munich, Salzburg, Vienna) and from the south (Venice, Ljubljana, Zagreb)! It's always worth to step by for a couple of days in the mountains!
