During the second night suddenly 2 men came into my room without knocking and I was asked I was ok if I would share the room with somebody else. They want to used it as a dorm. I would have been ok if they asked me this before and if I thereby would have been prepared for it, but just coming in and making me wake up by some men standing in my room was very unpleasent. Still a bit shocked and obviously disoriented from waking up this way I said "This comes very surprising" which made the leave the room. "The host Olivier is nice, but I felt like this accomodation is rather not for students or backpackers, rather french families.

I'd booked a room in the dormitory but as there were building works going on in that area I was given a private room with en suite for the same price. It was newly furnished and very pleasant, although the mattress was rather hard. Breakfast was included: the coffee was strong and tasty and the bread fresh. This relatively new and very modern hostel/hotel is tastefully furnished and very clean. It has a small pool and garden area, a large lounge and TV area and a pool table. Although located in a residential suburb (it is really a converted house) there are many cafes around the corner and several restaurants just a short walk away. It is well located for the Hassan II Mosque, which is about a 20-30 minute walk and perfect if you want bracing walks along the ocean front. Taxis are readily available on the street and by petit taxi it is about a 25 dirham journey to the Casa Voyageur on the meter, although coming from the station you will probably be charged twice that by a regular station taxi. The staff members are delightful, although in some cases their English is limited. The venue is also used for private functions so you might coincide with a party, as I did, with live music playing till around 1230; made worse by the poor singing, bit no real problem unless you want an early night. If you want to be away from the noise and traffic of central Casablanca this is a great place to stay and represents excellent value for money.

I had a great experience there, I slept in the 8 bedroom and in general terms everything ran quite good. The garden outside is simply magic and the staff very helpful. 10 min walk to the beach and 10 min by taxi to main places in city centre. Great value!
