Information
Nairobi Backpackers was opened in February 2001 with the aim of providing budget
travellers with an alternative to staying in cheap downtown hotels (most of
which are becoming decidedly "seedy") or having to travel out of the city to
established campsites.
Since 2003, under new management, the facilities have been extensively improved and the number of people using the hostel has grown each month and repeat stays are becoming common. A number of overland companies have been using the hostel as a drop-off point for passengers wanting affordable accommodation outside the city centre, and as an option to camping. We pride ourselves on providing a "HOME AWAY FROM HOME" atmosphere and this is evident in the number of comments received by guests who have stayed.
