The building and Design Agency

The building from the 1960s was reborn by Generator Hostels. The Design Agency (an award-winning Toronto based design consultancy) has collaborated with local architects and artists from Barcelona inGenerator Barcelona - Hotel lobby order to create a unique and comfortable place for backpackers to experience Barcelona. Therefore they got their inspiration by the city itself: a tapestry of layers, styles, and uniqueness. The sleeping areas are kept simple, comfortable, and some of the private rooms (yes, there are also private rooms) offer a fantastic view over the city. Beside keeping the sleeping rooms comfortable, the architects and designers of the building put a special focus on the common areas. A Hostel lives by its own atmosphere, created by people and the surrounding facilitates. Therefore the public common areas were designed as a place to socialize and to connect.

“The public areas encourage guests to hang out and mingle, in a series of lounges offering varied seating options and styles, establishing comfortable nooks and socially engaging experiences.” – Generator Hostel Barcelona
