Today we have the pleasure of introducing you to one of our favorite hostels in the city of Barcelona. Since we are based out of this city we take pride in promoting it and want others who visit to feel welcomed and have an unforgettable experience. Barcelona 360 Arts and Culture is a hostel that we want to showcase as a place that can provide you with that unforgettable experience bringing a lot to the table (metaphorically and literally).
Hostal Barcelona 360 Arts and Culture is located in a perfect area just half a kilometer from the large Plaça Catalunya. This distance from the Touristic center of the city puts it in a great place as it’s far enough off the beaten path that there aren’t people milling around the area all day but you won’t need to spend half your day getting into the city. This gives their neighborhood a calm and relaxed feeling rather than the bustle you can feel when you constantly have people coming in and out of the building.
The locks on all of the rooms and the lockers are electronic and keyed to your own personal key card making the entire hostel easy to access for those who are actually lodging there and keeps those who are not out. And ultimately saving you money if you forgot your lock at home. If you have ever been frusterated about having to share a room with only two electrical outlets between eight techno centric youths don’t worry. Outlets are not hard to find here.
While some may take this luxury for granted there is also free access to wifi throughout the entire hostel as well as a place to use a computer or printer if you need to. Air conditioning is a life saver you’re not paying extra for either, the only hassle that comes with it is making sure that your bunkmates aren’t too controlling when it comes to choosing the temperature.
The atmosphere in Barcelona 360 is one of relaxation and convenience. The communal kitchen is a great place to hang out and there is a terrace that works for sunbathing and plenty of space to just chill while you listen to the occasional jam session.
The majority of the people familiar with hostels are used to a paid or free breakfast of something very simple or small, like a cup of coffee and a muffin
That is not the case in 360 Barcelona. Instead of providing a breakfast they actually provide dinner for free! They cook it up in the community kitchen and will show you how to make authentic Spanish dishes. This makes mealtime so much more fun and involved than the traditional hostel breakfast since people aren’t coming in and out of the room like zombies ready to eat your brain if they don’t have a cup of coffee. Happy hour happens during dinner for those of you looking for something to drink in the hostel. They may even teach you some Spanish drinking games. After dinner they will take you on a pub crawl to visit some of their favorite local pubs and bars. This happens every night except for Saturday. If you are social enough on a Saturday to find someone who has been there on one of the previous nights then they will know exactly where to go to get your drink on.
The arts and culture part of their name is referent to some of the free walking tours that they put on for their guests. Being close to the city center helps them to take you to see some of the well known and, perhaps lesser known, sites throughout central Barcelona. They also have some organized expert tours for an extra price available for those who want to see even more of the city. If guests are in need of a place to put luggage on their last day at the hostel they are welcome to leave it in a safe location in the hostel until they are ready to head to their next destination. But we doubt you’ll leave willingly.
Barcelona 360 Arts and Culture wants to make your Barcelona experience unforgettable. We here at Gomio are sure that they will do their best to make you happy. Book your next stay in Barcelona with Barcelona 360 Arts and Culture here.
